How Geothermal Works

The temperature throughout the year will always vary no matter what climate you live in. For some climatic zones that means hot summers that cool to frigid winters, and New Jersey is no exception. Utilizing the earth loop, a WaterFurnace geothermal heat pump takes the heat from the ground in the heating cycle. The geothermal system sucks the heat from the loops and delivers this warmed air through a standard duct system. Additional choices include using that same heat to provide hot water and radiant floor heating are available.

Geothermal Cooling

During the cooling mode, cold, conditioned air is circulated through the house by doing the exact opposite as the heating process. Heat is not pulled, instead it is pushed into the ground. The warm heat is pulled from your home and transferred back into the earth loop. Your hot water heating can be fueled by this process as well.
